Category-Wise Steps and Estimated Time

MEPCO has divided the connection types into three following categories depending on the load. Let’s know the details.

  • Category One (Up to 15kW)
  • Category Two (16 to 70 kW / 400 volts)
  • Category Three (71 to 500 kW / 400 volts)

Note: If you want to go above 400 volts, you will need to purchase your transformer.

Category One (Up to 15kW)

Category 1 includes all users whose electricity load is only up to 15 KW. The SDO/Assistant Manager Operation approves such applications and processing of Category One takes about 30 days.
